Sporting Earth Tones

Wardrobe wise my plans are to add in more winter or cold weather appropriate dresses. When I found this wool number from Vivaciouslady Vintage I had to have it and I spoiled myself with this as a birthday gift to myself. I also got anther 50s number that will certainly be a wardrobe staple. More on that one later because today is all about this brown wool 50s number.  What I loved about this dress was the contrast bound edge of the bodice and the asymmetrical detailing. The frogs are decorative but divine. Paired with this dress is a 50s half hat, a very generous additional item that was added to my order. I think it pairs with this dress perfectly. Jewelry consists of a pair of large novelty screw back earrings made of rick rack. I think these too just work with this dress. Instant outfit if you ask me. For the most part the entire outfit you see here I purchased from Vivaciouslady Vintage  except the belt and gloves which were my own. Right now I think it is more important than ever to support small businesses and I am trying to do my part.

Although this wool dress is service me through winter I can see this easily being a great item for the spring. Personally I think earth tones and browns are a great spring neutral. I'm not sure what other hats, gloves or bags I will pair with this great piece yet but I have a feeling I have a lot of potential options. With that said, do not be too surprised if this great piece makes another appearance here.

  1. Cute! Being neutral, you could pair it with all sorts of colors for spring. I'd love to see more of this dress!
