Just Rosy

I am not much of a rosarian but this year my roses have never looked better . All those years of care and attention must have finally paid off! I am especially proud of these roses because they were originally planted in the late 40s, early 50s. Some are now blooming for the first time in decades. Naturally I had to get some pictures of these lovelies and some pictures with me in them (and why not, it was my care that got them this nice!).

In addition to my roses, my daisies are blooming like mad! So exciting and not too bad for a .50 cent seed packet either! Of course I had to ham it up in front of those too. Honestly this summer blooming make ups for the lack of spring blossoms this year. So what am I wearing today? Well today it is my favorite green rayon 50s shirtwaist. I love the green grosgrain ribbon and covered buttons and the print. Paired with it are red accessories. Red 1940s bonnet, modern belt, and shoes (not shown). Gloves are a white with fun novelty trimming. The necklace is a fun statement piece of cherries.
