Pink Suiting for Transitioning into Spring

This spring I got to take a mini vacation (o.k., a weekend) to enjoy the beautiful and finally warm spring weather. I chose to wear a pink wool suit from the mid 40s to kick off my mini holiday because it was a great transitional piece. It is warm enough for those chilly moments but, the pretty pink coloring makes it so perfect for spring. Paired with it I chose warm light tones browns which I thought really worked with this particular shade of pink. My top here is an 80s does 40s knitted top. I love this top and it was oone of my first vintage purchases years ago.

It was nice to get away for a little bit but now being back home I am reminded I have a lot of good stuff going on. I have my apron sew along to wrap up (just one more apron to go!), I have registered for another Pin Up pageant and I have to get my outfit ready for that one. Of course, I still have my first Pin Up pageant to get ready for so that is really exciting. There is a lot going on here so buckle up for a fun ride!
