Green Striped 40s Dress

You probably already saw this dress if you saw my last post. I wore it for my German hair and makeup tutorial. The pattern was one I have used many times before and it's a winner, what can I say? The fabric is from Telalinda, it is one of her many lovely reproduction prints. I loved the bold print and the neutral browns and greens. I bought enough for one dress but when I got done, I realized I had enough left over to squeeze a blouse out of it yet. I love how this fabric stitched together and I will be wearing this dress a great deal this coming fall. It is also very soft, drapey, and pairs really well with so much in my wardrobe now. The hat is new to me, sort of, I bought it over the summer. It was a great deal and it was a shape I did not already have in my hat selection. It stores flat as well which is great for traveling. To embellish this dress, I chose a sewn in place bow which I pleated into shape rather than tied and then large decorative buttons.
